I have orange/red hair with brown undertones but my eyebrows are significantly more blonde than my actual hair, so it looks like I have no eyebrows (which I'm sure you can imagine is a huge struggle this day and age). This pencil in #3 is the only brow pencil that seems to work with my hair color and it matches perfectly! I'm so pleased with this product, it's lasts all day and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I've had mine for about 7 months and I'm only now needing to replace it! Great eyebrow filler!

Best brow pencil

I'm Asian and #5 seems like it is custom made for me. Sadly Sephora doesn't carry this color so I have to get it elsewhere. The application is easy and the texture isn't too creamy or hard so it goes on well and with an even coverage. #5 is a dark brown/gray combination and I think it will look good on most darker brunettes. The brush also helps to give it more of a natural look. Highly recommend this pencil and it lasts all day!

So happy with it

After trying a bunch of products, I had thought the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz was my ultimate brow tool. However lately I felt like it was looking especially waxy and was too dark for my very fair complexion and blonde hair. I picked this YSL pencil up on a whim and I'm so pleasantly surprised. I didn't think I'd be able to get a precise enough application with a slightly thicker pencil like this, but it turns out that that worked in my favor. Now my brows looks so much more natural, it takes me half has long to apply as the Brow Wiz did, and the #4 Ash color is perfect. I definitely recommend giving this a try.

For brows you have to choose 3, that will give you more room to slowly apply on the layers achieving a natural look.

I have used powder, powder with gel, gel without powder and thought the pencil would be too heavy but I was very pleasantly surprised. I can finally stop wondering what my brows will look like because I know they'll look DONE.

Im silly.

I have dark hair but I got the one for blonde hair cuz I lightened my hair,but as soon as my hair faded,I obviously need a brunette one lol. It still works for me cuz ysl is amazing but I cant have dirty blonde brows with dark hair. Ill get the right shade next time I go. By the way its very waxy and doesnt brush out very well...put it in the right spot,cuz its annoying to brush out after.

I've been using this product in dark brown ever since I first started using make up. I'm asian and have dark brown hair. this product makes my eyes pop up and they look natural as well. I get tons of compliments on it. I usually use this to define my brows and then use eyebrow cake to fill it in. Hope my review's useful.

Don't waste your time and money to order. This is an expensive pencil with hard lead. I found it next to impossible to draw on either my brows to fill in or on my skin to lengthen my brows.

Fantastic Brow Pencil

Finally, a brow pencil for asians! All the brow pencils and kits out there for "dark-haired" people are dark brown, and that just doesn't work for asians. Our brows are not brown. The Ash shade blends in really well with my brows, and it enhances them so they don't have that drawn-on look. The YSL makeup artist who introduced this product to me says he uses the Ash shade on everyone. The pencil is also very creamy and soft, and lasts a long time.
