Not worth it for acne-prone skin

I received a 15ml sample as part of the Sephora Advent calendar. I have combination oily/ sensitive, hormomal acne-prone skin, so was cautious about trying it as it contained shea butter/potential pore cloggers. I also use retinol/prescription acne topicals. However their website stated that this product was their best for acne (here: https://augustinusbader.com/uk/en/evidence/treating-acne-prone-skin-skincare-solutions) so I decided to give it a go. Pros: did not irritate/sting my skin, smooth texture when applying. I can imagine it is great for dry skin. Cons: did not notice any improvement in acne/hyperpigmentation as marketed on their website. I was getting clogged pores on forehead/brow where I usually don’t experience acne. It also left a very greasy residue that sat on top of my skin, and felt unclean. Would definitely not pay full price for this.

It’s by far my favorite night time moisturizer! My skin feels healthy, hydrated and soft.

(Image for scale on the 1oz) If you have the disposable income + dull, normal to dry skin, you NEED this. I’ve been purchasing it for years with my own $$ (no incentivized review here - who gets that lucky anyway??) and recently tried switching to another moisturizer. Within a eeek, my skin looked dull and I’d lost my signature glow. Obviously don’t break the bank for it, but HECK YES it’s a worthy purchase if you’ve got the dough. The only moisturizer I’ve ever used that *actually* plumps & visibly tightens skin over time. And don’t worry, the moisture factor is immediate, immense, and there’s NOTHING else like it. You get what you pay for in this case.

amazing results, prohibitively pricey

extremely satisfied with the results of the sample I received of this product - i gasped! this was the best, most fast acting result i have ever received from a skincare product. i used it just one night and when i woke up my skin looked SO much smoother, healthy, and rejuvenated. (compared to other moisturizers i have tried, including the dermalogica moisturizing mask, clinique, and unrefined coconut oil). i am 29 and have fine lines, particularly laugh lines, near my nose and around my eyes. part of this is not drinking enough water, but also partly not having locked in a great skincare routine. i WISH i could use this cream regularly but can't currently justify the price, lol. will be looking for other products with the same or similar key ingredients until i can justify using this.

Am descoperit crema in 2020 in lockdown cand am avut o explozie de ds pe fata si nici un tratament nu functiona, toata fata mea era cu scuam si unde cadea arata ca pielea arda si foarte dureroasa, pana am dat peste the rich cream si de atunci o recumpar de fiecare data cand se termina si nu mi s-a intamplat sa trec printr-un episod atat de agresiv, pot spune ca s-au rarit semnificativ si de multe ori tenul mereu arata ca al unui bebelus. (41 de ani am)

I had heard raving reviews about this product but couldn't justify the cost, so when I was able to get a deluxe sample with Insider Points I was thrilled! Well, it's... fine? My skin definitely feels hydrated, but nothing special. However, the scent is absolutely awful!!! if I had actually purchased this out of pocket, I would've returned it based on smell alone.

Received this as a sample and within seconds my face turned red as a tomato and burning. Definitely an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients

Buyer Beware

Thank god I got a sample before buying this… it absolutely ASSAULTED my face. As I always do when trying a new product, I applied it on clean skin with no other products. I was so excited to try it but ended up so disappointed:(

Great for undereye only

Only use for undereyes bc this is super greasy. But for underye prep this is a godsend. I have old lady dry undereye and only other one I can use is shisheido which is more like Vaseline.

Overpriced greasy product

The scent was horrible. It smelled like the product was bad, I did give it a chance, except it was extremely thick and greasy in my opinion, and it made me not want to use it. The packaging is gorgeous and it didn’t seem to help anything. Just a greasy residue that was left on my face.

Smells awful, firstly. Like it has expired or something? Greasy and sits on top of my face it seems. I don’t mind spending $ if my face loves it (hello La mer) but for the price, my gosh,don’t even bother. Plenty of other great products that are way cheaper.
